1951 Corbitt. Apparently the idea was a sleeper *under* the cab. It never caught on - the engine was difficult to reach for service.

im sure the engine was a difficult reach , looks like the cab required a ladder as well , not sure that was well thought out but hey we gotta ry it to know right ? the american way after all - no government mandates on that one ,

A car related movie I liked - Two Lane Blacktop. Two guys in a hot 55 Chevy go around the country racing kids for money. Great movie but about the oddest ending I've ever seen.

HS parking lot from the 60s. Doesn't look too different from my HS in 67.
One kid drove his grandmother's 55 Coupe de Ville. Had a 2x4bbl set up he was all proud of, but wasn't very fast.

electric cars still suffer from that problem - how many of you have a plug in station at home ?
i know i dont and dont need that added bill to my already overbudget utility bill , i wonder if they come with a cord and electrician to provide the circuit ?

# 3 in the photo set above is a russian car- a ZIS "Sport".
Only one was built in prototype form.
I've been unable to find a year for it.

Here's one about as basic as you can get from the early days of drag racing. 3X2 carb setup on a flat head V8 and probably a "full race" cam like you could get from JC Whitney back then. Safety equipment like roll cage or seat belts? "Nah - we're just having fun." SW
