But it's a little low and heck if ya happen to shoot straight and got that bull elk you will find the elk bigger then the car! Ok all jokes aside, if you need to part with the drive train I have a little 66 Triumph Spitfire in need of an upgrade! |

back in the day...my dad and I had couple of MG's and raced them.the mx-5 is light years ahead of the old MG-B's.more power and bad-azz'ed in the twisties.4 wheel disc brakes is the way to go.not having lucas the prince of darkness is a big plus . pete |

See that is the reason to transfer the drive train over to the Spitfire! I have the 4 wheel disc's already and with a GT6 rear I should have both worlds. From the on line research this swap is being done quite often and is one of the easier ones to do. And most of all it would be able to get out of the way of bigger vehicles. But I sure love those early MG-B's. They just look great and there is a group of owners close by who have perfected the installing of small block v-8's in them. There is no way to tell except by sound and looking under the hood. Here are some photos. I only have full photos of the black MGB but there is also a photo of a red MGB under the hood shot. |

in my first year of college I bought a austin healey 100-6 later known as a 3000 mk 1 here in the states. not mine but a example. these had a straight 6 in them with a 4 speed and a over drive. they stuffed that engine in the MG-C's and it was a big boost in HP.I think they only made it for about 2 years or so.it sounded alot like a jag.very kool car. while I liked the truimph cars even back then it was a bitch to keep one up and running.even back then the TR-6 had issues.the drive train was unreliable.the MG's were not much better .when datsun (nissan) came out with the fairlady & then 240Z it killed the brit sports cars.they were reliable and hauled ass and had a 5 SPEED.even in 1972 they had a waiting list for them. I was looking until I found a mint 1970 340 duster then fri nights were spent munching stangs and camero's (with a trunk full of sand bags ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlBslo7QdmA&feature=fvw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO88yMWB ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SImek_aR ... re=related |

What engine is in the black one? The engine in the red one looks like a small block ford. Rad |
