Baby Gerber Para-frame: About 5 1/2" opened... 3" closed... ....liner lock of course. The usual made in P.R.O.C. Steel appears to be a way better than previous attempts at a Chinese Gerber. There is a nice edge put on it, and the coated stainless is not the crumbly stuff I've come to expect. It was under a 20.00 bill on my birthday, and I needed a new daily carry. Don't really care for liner locks, but this is stronger than the friction spring that was on the tiny Wenger I was using as a daily carry before I gave it away... Good news is that it does NOT come with the ridiculous pocket clip. I always end up taking the pocket clips off of my pocket knives anyways~ less to get in the way.... May have further commentary on this once sharpening time arrives... Regards, Doc Sharptail |

If it's not made with 440C stainless, it should hold an edge for quite a while. SW |

I cut down a inch and a half green willow for a fishing rod holder and 5 or 6 red willow branches for weenie roasters as well as daily use. It finally needed a touch up on the edge. It cleaned up fast with my Smith's pocket sharpener which is a combination carbide/soft Arkansas pull through. I am impressed with this performance. Knife is actually a little small for whittling heavy willows down to a spear point. Such use is bordering on abuse in my book. Despite what is shown on Forged In Fire and it's clones, a knife is a cutting tool. As always, the proper tool should be selected for the job at hand... I think my daily carry blade should be about an inch longer. Regards , Doc Sharptail |
