Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

However briefly:

The 300 marque had everything to do with ponies, and not much else.

Base engine for this very basic car was the overbored 383 with the monolithic Rochester Quadrajet handling mix ratios. It's output was factory rated at 325 h.p.

66 was the first year for the 300 to be marketed without the former letter designations.

I did drive a '66 Newport a fair bit over a 3 year period. It was the base 300 with some modest refinery like a.m. radio, power windows, and a much upgraded interior package.

Interestingly enough, the B-pillar sedan shown is a bit of a rare bird~ there were 8 times as many 4 door hardtops built and sold than the sedan. Rear deck may be a Canadian market only body style. Photo's of the semi-wrap tail lights are hard to come by...

Doc Sharptail
