Wow! A six shot starter - I never knew!

Been a few years since I watched the movie, but I recall the big radial finally fired on the last cartridge. In reality, it crashed on the movie set & not everybody survived. SW

I did more reading on the Coffman/Breeze starters and the British Field Marshall tractor did indeed use a shotgun shell starter that acted directly on the single piston of the engine. That is why the operator had to align the crank so that the piston was in the right postion for firing.

im thinking that the dual drive ight be an issue if the "backseat driver" is aggressive , and that low rider is gonna produce a lot of sparks near the gas tank - im not getting in ,

This line of cars is from '62, I think. No caption, but everything else in the photoset was from that year.

Didn't get much photo opportunity here:

Pontiac Grande Parisenne. I believe this is a '67.

I had about 30 seconds to grab these 2 quick shots...

beeb! beep!

I really cannot tell what it is. It just looks like a 68-69 Plymouth or Dodge.

67 Pontiac.
The Grande Parisienne was top of the line, and fully loaded with all the desirables. Big block backed with a turbohydramatic 3 speed and positrac rear. I'm not sure if they lifted an olds big block for this model or not. It wad done more than on one occasion.

Doc Sharptail

'42 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon.

Old cars in San Francisco circa 1950.

This one's a Steyr. It's a 1939 Model 55. They were called "Baby" for their dimunitive size.

This was built for and featured in the 1935 film "Stolen Harmony"
